Over 130 migrants rescued in Mediterranean after departing from Libya

Two rescue operations saved more than 130 migrants in the Mediterranean Sea who had departed from Libyan shores. The Ocean Viking rescue ship rescued 36 people from a sinking vessel off the Libyan coast, including eight unaccompanied minors, with most survivors from Sudan. Italian coast guard personnel rescued approximately 100 additional migrants from two boats that also launched from Libya.
