Israeli authorities evict 11 Palestinian families from East Jerusalem

Israeli authorities executed eviction orders against 11 Palestinian families in the Silwan neighborhood of East Jerusalem on Wednesday, displacing them in favor of settlers. According to the Israeli Information Center for Human Rights in the Occupied Territories, the evictions represent the beginning of a wider displacement wave affecting approximately 2,200 people in Silwan who face threats of forced removal, including 90 families in the Batn al-Hawa area.
