Israel doubles troops in Lebanon, intensifies strikes on Beirut and southern areas
Israel has doubled its troop deployment in southern Lebanon as part of its conflict with Hezbollah. Israeli strikes have targeted residential areas in Beirut and southern Lebanon, as well as bridges over the Litani River. According to Lebanese health ministry reports, Israeli airstrikes have killed at least 912 people, including 111 children, and displaced over one million people. Healthcare facilities in Lebanon have been directly targeted, raising concerns about the humanitarian impact on the civilian population.
